Originally Wilder Thyme Farm, located in Massachusetts, we began our amazing journey with three alpacas back in 2008. Since then, we have traveled, and lived all over the world, in search of the perfect location to move our ever-growing herd of fiber kids.
With big moves, came big changes, and we decided to rename our farm to Stormsteg, Swedish for "Leaps and Bounds," in 2015. Having grown "Leaps and Bounds" to a herd of 50+ alpacas, llama, and yak, Stormsteg is a colorful, collective mix of; blue ribbon winners, big-time fiber producers, and rescues. Stormsteg provides a safe, loving, forever home, for all of our animals- all of which are bred solely for fiber production. At Stormsteg, we practice only the highest standards of animal husbandry and pay special personal attention to these delightfully gentle, and curious creatures.
The goal of our program, is to produce alpaca, llama and yak with; high quality fleece and down, diverse in color and with an amazing disposition and temperament. We spend the majority of our day, with our animals, ensuring they are; easy to handle, safe for all ages to enjoy, and fun to be around.

Alpacas produce 100% naturally organic and allergen-free fleece, of which our gifted artisans have hand-crafted stunning product ranging from baby blankets and attire, to placemats and rugs. Our online store is continually stocking-up on new inventory, lovingly created by our talented artisans. All items are; one of a kind, naturally hypoallergenic and organic, and handmade from 100% alpaca fleece.
